The registration has crossed 425 by these times, people are still calling and enquiring how, when to participate. Chennaites are Non stoppable even in this rainy day, like the rain they are pouring in.

Every body had a simple Sambar Sadam and Curd rice, with appalam, Kerala chips, Urigai. Kudos to the caterer and the Sponser Mr.Venkatramani Sir.

Sharma thanked all those person who had worked towards success of this event by way of Publicity, Including SRK sir, KSS Suresh kumar ( Sankara TV), Dinamani, Dinamalar, Mandevili tabloid, Mylapore times and several blog Spots not named here.

There has been a good response to the trust by way of Voluntary contribution.

I could say that this event is a great success

There will be no more posts today, rest tomorrow becauz I will be leaving singara Chennai in another 3-4 hours bye

I just got some more time, I have left Sanskrit College.

The last data I have is that, the registration crossed 500 by15:30, still its raining as well as people are arriving, it should reach 600. Ellam antha Iravanin arul.

Sharma was handling registrant 230 by this time on which he made 7 matchings.

There were Tamil, Telugu Brahmin, Iyengar and with a difference a Gujarathi Brahmin also.

Hope the message of this forum is being spreading across well

Thanks for Sabesan Sir for the blessings & coordination from distance

We have approx. 540 registrations today. Due to rain the participation was less by at least 100 numbers but in a way it was better as the infrastructure would have faced more problems.

Due to Amavasya, some of the participants didn't take food at the venue which we didn't anticipate.

This time volunteers did a very fine job. - SRK, Rajesh, Venkiteswar and his wife, SRK's friend ( I don't remember his name), Sridhar, Sasikumar and his wife, Deepa, Durgadasan & his parents have all done excellent work.

Sri GS along with his wife and Chandru did an excellent job in organising the whole thing.

Sri Ramasubbarao, President of Nellore Brahmana Mahasabha and his wife graced the occasion which is a great morale booster to all of us.

Sri N S Kumar, President of Anna University alumini association participated in the inaugural function and gave valuable advice to the participants.

Sri Ramaratnam Sivasankaran from UK participated in the concluding session and gave valuable suggestions to the participants.

Vijay Caterers did an excellent job providing tasty lunch at the right time and also morning tiffin for the volunteers.

We are also grateful to the Sanskrit college authorities for providing the facilities at a very nominal rent.

We have to thank the media (both electronic and print) for giving wide publicity to the event.

Off course Sri Swaminatha Sharma did an excellent job both at the stage as well as behind the scenes.

As a team, we gained lot of experience during the first maiden venture of the Trust. Our participants have donated liberally to make the event financially self sufficient. It has given us lot of confidence for conducting events in the future without charging any fee from the participants.

Varuna Baghavan also blessed us to a great extent as this is the main rain season in Chennai.

Thank you all once again.

Thank you for conducting this Mega event. This will help parents of our Brahmin community to find out suitable brides / grooms for their children. Mr.Sharma has really done a wonderful job in conducting the event and giving valuable advices in selecting their choices. Hope this sort of events will be conducted frequently in Chennai. It is heartening that the trust is doing free service for the community as a whole and the prospective brides / grooms in particular.

My contribution will be reaching soon.

Regards,
Natesa Raguraman

Varuna Baghavan was very kind enough on 5th December, 2010 - Chennai Vivaha Sangamam day. Rain was not much on that day but on 6th December, 2010 rain was very heavy and the city was flooded. We were able to get more than 500 registrations and the event was successful.

We shall try to repeat the program in Chennai after six months so that all those who missed out on this event can participate.

All the best
