Here is the first Report:

The programme started at 09:30 am with group prayer by Shri. Mahalinga Sasthrigal and team of Malleseswaram Sankar Mutt. A modest Count of 40 participants were present. Some of them were able to have their breakfast with the volunteers.

Swaminatha Sharma`s arrival was delayed by over 2 hours because of mist hence he could drive very slowly and cautiously. He managed to sleep for about 30 mts and we were able to start the programme delayed 30 mts.

Mr.Swamynathan Sharma is assisted by Mr. Velmurugan on the dias here in Bangalore, he came with his wife and two kids

ON Registration counter: Mr.Sriram, Mr.Srihariramakrishnan, Mrs. Swamynathan, Ms.Monica, Mrs.Chandru were there.

Mr.Sabesan Narayanaswamy and his team consisting of Mr.Krishnamoorthy, Mr.Sriram etc had meticulously planned and executed, so that none of the participant felt the delay in start.

All of us had Good N Hot Pongal, Semia Kesari, Ulundu vadai, chatni and sambar with banglore coffee from the great caterer"M/s.Rakshita Catering" Mr.Chandrasekhar.

Now the crowd is about 100

Update: Registration has crossed 300. Its too cool in Bangalore , so do the numbers. Now its lunch break. There had been 5 matches so far. One specific thing to note is that, the banglore people are more interactive and proactive.
Here we had a convergence of languages.

Another success story from our Team. Sri Sabesan and his team performed exceeding well in almost all parameters.

Sarvasrisri Ramamurthi, Ramakrishnan (Ramki), Sriram, Hari and Smt Monica Sharma of Bangalore team did a very detailed planning and perfect execution of all the activities.

The participants were multi lingual reflecting the cosmopolitan outlook of Bangalore. We had substantial participation from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Konkani brahmins representing Smartha, Vaishanva and Madva subsects.

As usual, Sri Swaminatha Sharma facilitated the audience to bring several marriage proposals at the stage itself. He along with his family and friends traveled all the way from Pondi to Bangalore by road in the night and also returned through night driving. The amount of strain he is taking for our community cause is really marvelous. We all have to pray God to give him and his family all the strength and pros parity to continue this service.Lot of divorcee, widow marriage proposals were brought together which is really heartening to note.

Kanchi mutt Administrator Brahma Shri Ganapatigal and his team provided all the support for the successful performance of the event.

Caterers provided tasty food for both breakfast and lunch which was enjoyed by all the participants.

We have to thank Sri Sankara TV and other cable networks which provided enough publicity for the event across the country.

Sri Chandru and his family traveled by road from Trivandrum to Bangalore well in advance. His support has been continuing and growing event after event.

Finally it is another show of brahmin unity. We have to thank the participants without whose support the event would have failed. We are really glad that brahmins speaking multiple languages participated in large numbers and also reaffirmed their pledge for brahmin unity.

From our side, we will continue to do whatever best possible for our community. In the coming year, we will have more such events at different places.

As Sri Sabesan said, atleast 13 alliances were brought to gether and much more will happen after the event as we have brought together lot of families on one to one basis.

In the olden days at the village atmosphere, most of the people know each other. After migrating to cities such an atmosphere has vanished and our efforts will definitely revive one to one contacts in our community.

However it is for the participants to interact with each other. Our forum is not another matrimony site. Here we give opportunity for every body to interact with each other publicly through the forum and individually through private messaging. If the participants make use of these facilities, I am sure marriages will get settled fast. There are quite a number of people in this forum ready to help others. Unless the new entrants participate in the forum discussions, the identity of the individual will not be known to others.

Just if they put an announcement that bride/bridegroom is required, mostly it will be ignored. On the contrary through positive participation in the discussions, they will become more popular in the forum. Once they become popular, they can get things done easily.

I earnestly request all the new members of this forum to participate in the discussions and also contribute effectively for our community welfare. This will win them lot of friends who may be ready to help them not just for matrimony alliances but also on other needs also.

Thanks at first for all your wishes and prayers....
As per the sayings of Thiruvalluvar "Solluthal yaarkkum..... seyal" i keep to continue my services to our community in action rather than in words... and keep to maintain the same till my end....

But, the journey to B'lore and my return back trip was so hectic, without sleep and rest, made me little shocked when i was back in office, and i could somehow manage myself with your blessings and prayers.....

In this place, I would like to convey my special thanks to Mr. Sabesan and Team for making finest arrangement of the arrangements made for a smooth conduct of the event.

And again, my wish to conduct a seperate program for divorcees/ widowers and physically handicapped persons are long pending, and due to some meshy works and workloads, its not easy to find a time to fix a place and time.

Hope this will be made soon, with the wishes of other members and organisors here, so that those who are on the real need of the services are also fully benefitted....

It is a good idea to have an exclusive program as suggested.many have voiced on the same lines during the program.Chennai may be an ideal place to hold such an event.
